Wem Town Hall (WYH) hosts the Wem Town Market every Thursday morning from 8am, which is extended to the Town Square (next to Co-op supermarket in the main town car park). There are a wide range of traders selling fresh, tasty, local produce as well as cards, gifts, clothing, household items and more. Traders enquiries should be directed to WTH reception in the first instance.
The Town Square also hosts Wem Farmers’ Market, which runs every 2nd Saturday of the month, from March to December, 9am to 12.30pm
Wem Spring and Harvest Markets are popular events showcasing a wide range of local food, drink and crafts available for sale from local and regional traders. Taking Place in April and September respectively the markets are organised by members of Wem Civic Society, Wem District Garden Club and Wem Transition Town Initiative as the Wem Combine Harvesters. Plant sale usually takes place in May from 9am to 12 noon, on the green in Aston Street opposite the Methodist Church.
Includes floats parade around town (afternoon and evening) and other events on Wem & Social Sports Club playing fields usually first Saturday in September.

Vehicles of Interest
Held in July – A variety of interesting vehicles complete a circuit around the town and then are on display on the Recreation Ground. There are trade stands.
Eckford Sweet Pea Show – Held in July, there is a display of sweet peas and other plants etc, in Stanier Hall of Thomas Adams College, High Street
Wem Christmas Lights Festival & late night Christmas Shopping – Santa Sleigh. Held on the first Friday in December
Santa Sleigh Run – Wem and District Rotary Club very popular event for the children, has a stationary spot by the Co-op and also visit areas in and around Wem.
Tree of lights – also organised by the Wem and District Rotary Club, you can dedicate a light in memory of a friend or relative, funds raised help 2 local hospices.
